Message From Dr. Otway
Gratitude for Your Support
Dear College Park Family,
As we embrace the month of gratitude, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks for your continued support and engagement in our school community. Your involvement plays a crucial role in creating a positive and enriching learning environment for our students.
This month, we are focusing on input surveys that truly shape our decisions and here are two simple ways you can contribute to our efforts:
1. . **Help us create a List of Recommended Books:**
We invite you to share your favorite books or recommend titles that you believe would captivate the imaginations of our young readers. By creating a diverse and engaging reading list, we can inspire a love for literature among our students. WE NEED SIX titles! Let your title make it on the list and we'll compile them for our monthly reading activities [Link Here].
3. **Complete our Parent Engagement Survey:**
Our school climate score form the GADOE is determined form the parent survey. Your feedback is invaluable to us. Please take a few minutes to complete our parent engagement survey. Your insights will help us understand how we can enhance our school efforts through parent and family engagement. The survey link is generated from the GA Dept. of Education [ Survey Link ], and your responses will remain confidential.
We appreciate your commitment to the education and well-being of our students. Together, we can create an environment where a passion for reading is cultivated, and the love of learning flourishes.
Thank you once again for being an integral part of our school community.
Warm regards,
Dr. Maisha N. Otway
Principal, College Park Elementary School

Your Opinion Matters
Your opinion matters! Tell us about your experiences with the district and your school by filling out the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) Georgia Parent Survey required by the Georgia Department of Education. This survey provides a foundation for your school’s Climate Star rating score and is part of the CCRPI. These climate scores are an important indicator of culture and climate within each school in the district. Each school will receive a 1-5 star rating, with five stars representing an excellent school climate, and one star representing a school climate most in need of improvement. The surveys are anonymous and confidential and will remain open through Friday, December 15. To access the CCRPI survey, click here.
