A Grateful Heart by Jazmine Misola, Class of 2024
BEGIN EACH DAY WITH A GRATEFUL HEART
I give thanks to my God at every remembrance of you,
praying always with joy in my every prayer for all of you,
because of your partnership for the gospel from the first day until now.
And this is my prayer: that your love may increase ever more and more
in knowledge and every kind of perception, to discern what is of value,
so that you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,
filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ
for the glory and praise of God.
~From Saint Paul’s Letter to the Philippians, Ch. 1:1-5, 9-11
Dear Saint Clare School Families,
Congratulations to Lucia and Cuba, our newly initiated members into our Catholic Christian family of faith. Lucia and Cuba were baptized, confirmed, and received their First Holy Eucharist this past Saturday at the 5 P.M. Mass. Saint (Cuba’s younger brother), and Luna (Lucia’s younger sister) were also baptized. What a very special day it was for their friend and family. As a community of faith, we are asked to accompany them on their faith journey, just as Jesus did for the two disciples on their way to Emmaus. May they always remember that it is in the breaking of the bread that we encounter the risen Christ.
Next Sunday, at the 10:30 Family Mass, we will bear witness to our second graders who will be receiving their First Holy Eucharist. Congratulations to their catechists and their parents for walking this journey together. More than any social event, donuts, and parties, sacramental celebrations like these remind us that within this community of faith, we become one in the Body of Christ.
The Easter season fills me with hope that no matter where we worship, no matter the community of believers with whom we gather, we remain sisters and brothers, loved by our Creator and Redeemer.

Many thanks to our 4th grade families for hosting our April Faculty Birthday Celebrations. We appreciate the tasty spread, but most of all, we are grateful for the messages of love and appreciation.
Congratulations to our Mission and Catholic Identity Committee for organizing our One Love Day of Service on Earth Day, April 22. Stay tuned for other clean up opportunities!
