Charles V

Biography:
Charles V was the Holy Roman Emperor from the year 1519-56, king of Spain, and archduke of Austria. He also inherited a Spanish and Habsburg empire, he struggled to keep his empire together against the growing of Protestantism.
In 1515 Charles came of age as duke of Burgundy and assumed rule over the Netherlands, after the death of Ferdinand II died Charles was to govern in Aragon and Castile together with his mother. In September 1517 Charles arrive in Spain, even though he did not know their language or the traditions, he instituted, under Burgundian influence, a goverment that was a little better than foreign rule. He then became elected as king in Germany in 1519. Charles V did not work for anybody. but Charles did inherited what his father had.
