Georgia Virtual School Courses

Glynn County School System

Georgia Virtual School is a program of the Georgia Department of Education and is designed to serve public, private and home schooled students throughout the state. Though all classes are at the high school level, academically talented middle school students may also choose to take one or more classes from the online program. Note, however, these are rigorous, academically challenging courses.

Rising 9th graders may choose to take a course in the summer prior to 9th grade for high school credit. However, the grade earned does not count in their high school grade point average. Summer classes are tuition based at the rate of $250 each and include middle school remediation courses for students who need extra work in math or language arts.

During the Fall and Spring semesters, there is no charge for students who wish to take an online class as a part of their regular schedule. Popular choices include personal fitness, health, world languages, and Advanced Placement courses.
