Greetings Monomoy Families and Friends!
My name is Kim Crowell-Oravec, and I am very excited to be taking on the position of Team Chairperson for Chatham Elementary School, Out of District Coordinator and Early Childhood Coordinator for Monomoy Regional School District for the 2021-22 school year.
I received my education at Nazareth College, Lesley University, and am currently completing my Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership at Curry College. For the last 11 years I have worked for Duxbury Public Schools where I served as the lead teacher for students in grades 3-5 with significant disabilities.
I live in Plymouth, MA with my husband of over 20 years and 3 children aged 12, 14, and 17. I bring a unique perspective to this position having participated in many meetings and conferences as both a parent and a school-based representative and I strongly believe that communication is the key to successful relationships.
Though I come to you from off-Cape, my historical roots are deeply established here and I am looking forward to learning more about the culture and climate of both Chatham and Harwich and forming relationships with many Monomoy families in the years to come.

Art Room News, from Ms. Middleton:
First graders worked on clay sculptures of their animals for their Cape Cod animal project.
Third graders worked on representations of the exhibits at the Atwood House Museum. After sketching their scenes, they painted with coffee to create sepia toned watercolors reminiscent of old photographs.
