Dear Parents/Guardians
Welcome to Fall! We want you to know how thankful we are for your support. Whether you donate your time, effort or donations, please know that I as well as the Lesslie faculty and staff are very appreciative of all that you do. We would not be able to do what we do without your success. I am also very thankful for such a supportive and hard working PTO. Our PTO works tirelessly to ensure that our staff and students have needed resources. Our volunteers give of their time and effort because they value Lesslie and our students. Please know there are no works that can express how much we appreciate you.
Parents please use this link for valuable resources that will help you support your child(ren) at home. http://www.scholastic.com/parents/
It is very important that school staff and parents maintain a healthy working partnership. Our school’s goal is to help every student achieve at the highest level possible and I know as parents/guardians, you share this goal for your child(ren). A goal of our School Improvement Plan is to improve student achievement in reading. Please view this video and reflect on how we can continue to work together to achieve our goal to improve reading achievement for every student http://tiny.cc/kux7fy. I hope this video, Bring Your Family Together with Reading, will give you ideas of ways to support your child in the area of literacy.
Beginning January 1, 2017, we will begin announcing student birthdays on our digital school sign. The cost will be $5.00 to wish the student a Happy Birthday with just the student’s name . The cost will be $10.00 for the student’s name and picture to be displayed.
