Welcome to CES!

We are off to a great start to the 2020-2021 School Year! This year, we will be adding an electronic newsletter to help keep you informed of all the great things happening in our school. A paper copy will also be coming home as well! Take a look at the things happening at CES this month! Go Panthers!

No School - Labor Day - September 7th

There will be NO SCHOOL ON LABOR DAY, Monday, September 7th. School will resume at normal hours on Tuesday, September 8th

Dental Screenings - September 14th-15th

On September 14th and 15th, Salina Dental Center will be conducting dental screenings at CES. Information was sent home earlier about participating in this program. Please return forms to CES by September 3rd. If you have any questions or need more details, please contact our CES Nurse Loni Kindel.

Fall Pictures - September 23rd

Picture Day at Concordia Elementary is Wednesday, September 23rd. Picture packets will be coming home with students. All students will have their picture taken whether you purchase pictures or not. Those families wishing to purchase pictures need to have a separate order for each child and not one check per family.

Early Dismissal - September 25th

All students will be dismissed at 1:30 on Friday, September 25th for CHS Homecoming activities. CAP will be open on this day. There will be NO PM preschool.

CAP Reminders...

Concordia After School Program (CAP), is an after school program sponsored by USD 333 that runs from 3:30-5:30, M-F. Any CES student, grades K-4, are eligible and invited to attend CAP. Parents, if your child attends CAP, please let the office, teachers and CAP staff know if your child WILL NOT be attending CAP for the day. Please provide a schedule to CAP as well. Friendly Reminders...

  • CES doors open at 7:35. Breakfast begins at 7:35 am. Please do not drop students off before this time as supervision for students is not provided until 7:35 am. Thank you for arriving at school at the designated time.
  • Please remember to drop off and pick up students off of 11th Street. This will help with traffic safety and keep our front bus loading area running smoothly.

  • To help keep CES safe, please check in with the office before entering school/classrooms. If picking up or returning a student to school, please sign him/her out in the office.

  • Please remember to wash your child’s mask every day!

Communication is Key!


  • If your child is sick or will be late to school please call the office by 8:30 to inform us.
  • If you will be picking your child up early, let the office know, so we can let the teacher know ahead of time!!
  • If your child has a Doctor Appointment, please get Doctor’s note to excuse the absence.

Connect with us at www.usd333.com and on the Concordia Elementary Facebook Page to see what is happening at our school! Each week teacher’s will publish articles on our district website and every morning we invite you to join us on Facebook Live for our Morning Assembly!


Also, every month we will be sending home a newsletter with all the upcoming news and events. We will also publish an electronic newsletter that will be shared to the Concordia Elementary Facebook Page and emailed out to the email address of all our families that was provided at enrollment. This email will come from Mrs. Breese/SMORE. Don't forget to connect with your child’s classroom through Class Tag.

Wall of Fame

The Principal’s Wall of Fame is a chance for students to earn a Wall of Fame Award for good work or outstanding character. Staff catch the kids being good and send them to Mr. Holmes for a prize. Congratulations to all the Wall of Fame recipients!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the start of another school year at Concordia Elementary. I am honored to be the principal at CES! I am beginning my 28th year in this extremely rewarding profession of education and 13th year in USD 333. We take great pride in providing your child with a safe and productive learning environment.
