The Storm Forecast
May 16, 2021
Dear parents, guardians, and students,
We've made it! We have completed a full school year through a global pandemic, virtual learning, face masks and social distancing, building construction, and post construction hiccups and state testing. While this year was certainly not the typical school year, I am extremely proud of how our students handled it and their perseverance and resiliency through the challenges.
I want to thank all of our families for all of their support, encouragement and kind words for both me and the staff as we looked for ways to make this year the best possible year for our students. It was certainly a year that pushed everyone to look for new and creative ways of looking at things and we appreciate you entrusting your children to us.
As we wrap up this last week, our administration team is already working on what's to come for the 2021-2022 school year. We are looking forward to a year with even more new traditions and school spirit activities, new academic programs, and improvements to existing academic and extra curricular programs to make San Jose Prep go to the next level. We are looking forward to welcoming all of you back in the Fall.
In the meantime, we wish all of our families a joyful and restful summer. Enjoy the Florida sunshine, read, relax, and we look forward to seeing all of you on August 9.
Have a great summer!
Mrs. Knapp
Principal
May 18-20
School will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m. each day.
Friday, May 21 is the official last day of school. Students will need to log on to their A day classes for their final day.
Parking in adjacent properties
Please remember that the properties adjacent to San Jose are private property. Parents should not be dropping off or picking up students on these properties- it has become a problem severe enough that property managers are on the verge of contacting JSO.
Please follow drop off/pick up protocols and go through the car line.
We also ask that you drive safely while near and on campus. We've had students nearly hit by parent cars speeding onto or out of the property as well as on the adjoining properties or by parents dropping off students in non-designated areas.
Please help us keep your children safe. You may think you are saving a few minutes, but think about safety- you don't want your child to be hurt.
Chromebook check-in
Chromebook check in will be as follows:
6th grade: May 17 (no Chromebook, no field trip)
7th grade: May 18

Failure to return Chromebooks will result in report cards being held.
Dress down days
Please make sure that your student's clothing follows the dress down day dress code outlined in the student handbook. Students out of dress code will be sent home or placed in ISS- we don't want that for your student!
