MHS Happenings
End of Semester
From the Principal
During the 14 days of school between Thanksgiving Break and Winter Break, we will have STAAR EOC Retesting AND Final Exams. If your student is planning on exempting finals, please log into parent portal and check attendance. The Exemption Policy is attached below; attendance must be cleared up in order to exempt.
I would like to close my part with saying something positive; we have the best and most resilient kids. This year has not gone the way that we planned...but our students show up each day and do their jobs. I am very proud of them and proud to be the Montgomery High School Principal.
Sincerely,
Brandi Hendrix
Student Drop Off and Pick Up
Please make sure that you are following the proper student drop off and pick up procedures.
There are only two places at MHS where you can pick up and drop off students - behind the East and West campuses. Students will enter and exit from door 9 on the West Campus and door 40 on the East Campus. Both doors open at 6:45 in the morning. If you are bringing your student before that time, they can wait outside the doors under the covered patio or you can circle until the doors open. Please do not park in the car rider line as it will back up and block parking spaces for students and staff. Parking in the parking spots of any parking lot is not allowed. Parking spaces near the car rider lines are reserved spots, so when you park there, you are keeping someone from their assigned spot.
Students should not be dropped off or picked up in front of either building. We have limited parking in the front of both buildings, so parents should not park in the front lots to drop off or pick up students. These spaces are reserved for visitors coming into the building only. We appreciate your assistance in following our drop off and pick up procedures.
