CFCC Dual Enrollment Registration Help Sessions
Congratulations AHS Concert Band & Wind Ensemble!
As their music teacher, he couldn't be prouder of their achievements. The Concert Band performed in Grade III, and the Wind Ensemble performed in Grade V, and they were graded on several aspects, including tone quality, intonation, balance and blend, precision, basic and interpretive music, and general factors. Additionally, they had to sight-read a piece with only five minutes to prepare, during which they could not play their instruments.
Despite the challenges, our students rose to the occasion and produced outstanding performances that impressed the judges and earned them the highest rating - Superior! The Wind Ensemble even earned what is known as Straight Superiors, receiving 4 individual Superiors from each of the judges, with As in all captions. This achievement reflects their commitment, dedication, and hard work throughout the year, and it's a testament to their passion for music.
Free Physical Exam Screenings
The NHC Health Department is providing free physical exam screenings. The date of these screenings is Thursday, June 1, 2023. Vaccinations will also be given again this year and the permission slip is also attached. Students will need to bring the completed permission slip with them to the screening. The forms are linked below for parents to print and bring with them.
The health department will NOT have copies available on the day of the screenings.
