7th and 8th Grade News
Week of June 6th
This is the LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL FOR 8TH GRADE, and unfortunately, the next-to-last week of school for 7th Grade. Here are the important dates you need to be aware of.
June 8th - SOCIAL STUDIES AND MATH FINAL
Students in 8th Grade Math have already begun their finals, and the Pre-Algebra Final will begin THIS WEDNESDAY. As well, students have study guides for each chapter in Social STudies, and should be studying for their exam as well. The only homework for Monday and Tuesday this week will be studying for finals.
June 9th - Graduation Breakfast 9:00am
The 8th Grade class will lead our school mass for the last time. Immediately after will follow the breakfast prepared by 7th grade parents. Thank you so much for filling out the form that stated how much family will be attending. It really helped our preparations. After breakfast, you are free to take your student home or out to celebrate until the ceremony in the evening time.
8TH GRADE STUDENTS MUST BE DRESSED IN SUNDAY'S BEST FOR MASS
ie, a nice shirt and tie, or a dress.
June 9th - 8th Grade Graduation
Ceremony will begin at 6:30pm sharp. If your student is graduating, please arrive 30-45 minutes early so that we may practice the graduation procedure with the students briefly before the ceremony. Students with speeches are Josselyn Gomez-Soto and Juliana Tran. Miguel Garcia Valenzuela will also say a piece as the new Student Council president, but his will be prepared for him.
If you have any questions about graduation this week, please contact me, Katie Dempsey, or Amparo Farias.
June 15th - Field Day
