Weekly Update
Our first week of in person learning was a success!
CLASSIC SCHOOL FAMILIES -
Thank you to everyone who did their part to keep RMMS open and safe! We took over 300 temperatures every day this week of scholars and staff! That's a lot of temperatures! Our scholars did a great job with the temperature checks and wearing their masks. We have some work to do with their lunch time - please take a moment to talk to your scholar about the importance of maintaining social distancing, especially during lunch when their masks are off. We want to keep everyone safe.
Thank you to all the families who checked in with their scholar prior to coming to school. We have some scholars who reported COVID-like symptoms and our Health Office has been doing a great job connecting with families and sharing the decision tree. If you have ANY questions about bringing your scholar to school, PLEASE CALL US FIRST! We are ready to help make the appropriate decision and keep everyone safe.
Now that we are back in session, please be sure to discuss appropriate dress for school. The Scholar/Parent Handbook is linked below. We want our scholars to dress for success so no spaghetti straps, midriff tops, sagging pants, knee high socks under long shorts, and no items that depict drugs, alcohol, or are sexually provocative. Help us by checking your scholar's outfit before they leave for school. We will be asking scholars with inappropriate clothing to change. Thank you for your support in advance.
RMMS is a cell phone free zone and scholars are asked to power down their phones when they come on campus. In addition, scholars should not be wearing any hood. Hats and beanies are ok as long as they are worn appropriately. We will ask scholars to remove their hoods if we see them on. This is for everyone's safety.

HERE IS THE SCHEDULE FOR CLASSIC SCHOLARS
VIRTUAL SCHOOL FAMILIES -
Thank you for your continued work with your scholar at home. Our Virtual teachers are working hard to create engaging lessons and offer supports for scholars to be successful. As always, we are hoping to have more cameras on so that our teaching team can "see" our scholars. Much of our knowing if someone needs help happens through nonverbal communication - their faces usually tell us they don't understand something. Please remind your scholar to take advantage of office hours and opportunities for tutoring. Many teachers share that scholars are not showing up to this extra help. If you are not an Observer on your scholar's Canvas page, please take time to do that so you can see what they are doing.
