Beacon Hill Crime Tour
On the first day of intersession, we took a crime tour regarding the historically famous crimes of Beacon Hill. We learned about Mary Dyer's longing compulsion to become a martyr. She was sentenced to death many times but was always pardoned by the governor because she was a woman. However two of her good friends were also sentenced to death and they did end up hanging, when Mary was not hanged she felt extremely guilty and thought the only way to make things right was for her to be hanged. This is how Mary Dyer ended up being the first person to hang for religious freedom. Our favorite part was seeing all the beautiful scenery in Boston.
