Meet our Student Teacher!
My name is Max Vrij. I am finishing up my bachelors degree in Music Education at Texas Tech University. I have enjoyed singing for Texas Tech, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Lubbock Chorale, and The West Texas Children’s Chorus during my time in Lubbock. In my free time I enjoy going to the gym, watching sports, and spending time with my friends.
TRIP
The Legacy Choir spring trip for this year will be to Branson, MO. We have talked to all of the classes about this trip over the past couple of days. The tour company being used is Green Light Group tours, which is the same company that we used for our Florida/Disney trip last year. This is going to be a really fun and exciting trip, so I hope that a lot of students will be able to go!
The dates of the trip are April 4-7, and all choir students are eligible to participate. The trip is completely optional, however, and no students are required to participate. We would also love to have parents travel with us as chaperones. If a family member other than a parent/guardian would like to be a chaperone, please contact me before registering. All chaperones must be 25 or older.
Students registering MUST sign up for the Quad student package. No students should register for a double or single package. Adult chaperones may choose either the double or single adult packages. Students will room with other students, and adults will room with adults.
The link below has a video with a lot of information specific to the trip as well as the registration link. The registration deadline and initial deposit are due by November 19. Registration and all of the payments are handled by Green Light Tours and will be explained during the registration process online. We do have limited seats available for the trip, so those wishing to travel are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

Region Clinic and Concert
TMEA Region 5’s annual Honor Choir Clinic and Concert will take place on Thursday, November 9. Legacy choir students will be represented in all three honor ensembles, the Region Mixed Choir, the District Treble Choir, and the 9/10 Honor Choir. Students will participate in a clinic throughout the day and then perform a concert that evening at 7:00pm at Arborlawn United Methodist Church. Congratulations to all students singing in the choirs!
