YOUR SPES PTO
A SPECIAL THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT
How Your Support of SPES PTO Touches Our Children
Our SPES PTO strives each year to assist the school in its efforts to "cover the gap" between cost of tuition and what it actually costs to educate our children. We ask you to help in our efforts and help you have! Thank you VERY much for your support of the first two SPES SPIRIT NIGHTS (or Restaurant Nights) of the year. Your visiting Deano's in August and Romacelli in September helped to bring almost $1200 to our children!
The Cougar Cup 5K/1 mile Fun Run this past weekend was fabulous! Over 260 people registered for the event and it is hard to say whether it was more fun running the race or working with the many parents and students who helped to make it possible. As it stands now, it looks like the event netted over $5000.
Helping to "span the gap" can be done in many ways ... some of those just directing dollars you already spend to the school through our support programs. We like to call those "Free Money" programs ... saving Community Coffee labels, clipping Box Tops for Education, turning in your Coke box codes/bottle tops, turning in your Office Depot receipts and more. Last year, St. Pius Elementary received over $1100 dollars in rebates from your participation in the "Free Money" programs outlined on the flyer attached to this week's newsletter. Won't you join us, and invite grandparents and work colleagues to join us also, in participating in these programs?
Most importantly, know that we appreciate whatever way you choose to support SPES whether it be through volunteerism, participation, sponsorship or lifting our efforts in prayer!
