Florence Update

September 19, 2014

Dear Florence Families,

Thanks for another great week at Florence Elementary! I want to introduce the newest member of the Florence Team. Dana Shumake has joined Florence Elementary as our new secretary! She comes with lots of experience, talent, and a heart for education. She is very excited to join the Florence family! Please feel free to contact her with questions regarding Home Access Center or anything else you may need administratively. She is more than happy to help!

Also, please mark your calendars for two important events! Tomorrow night we have our annual Run in the Dark for the Keller Community in support of the Community Storehouse. It will be held at Alliance Airport. Hope you can make it!!!

We will also have our first PTA meeting of the school year on Monday night, Sept. 22nd, at 6:15. We will have a short PTA meeting followed by an update from our Superintendent, Dr. Reid, on the Bond Election. I hope you can attend so that you can educate yourself and know the details and facts about the Bond Election. It is very informative and interesting!

Following Dr. Reid's presentation PTA and our art teacher Ms. Stiff will host Art Night. This is a great evening of creation and fun. You will not need to bring anything to participate. All materials will be provided. We hope you can make it!!!
