New District and School Websites
Starting Monday, December 5th, the district and school websites will have a new look. Please check it out and keep the following in mind:
- Please check the link to your class website, under Staff Directory, to be sure it is working.
- There is a new section called Students in Action, where we want to showcase student work, fun events, and anything else happening in your classrooms. Please send me photos at any time to put up on the site. Be sure to check the FERPA report in Genesis before sending them.
- Links to book appointments with me or in the Design Center, as well as links for website and video approvals, can be found under Staff Resources, at the top of the page.
- Please let me know if you have any questions or find any errors. Thanks!
Hour of Code - December 5th -9th
December 5th- 9th is Computer Science in Education Week, and we will once again be asking everyone to participate in the Hour of Code. Here's how it works:
There are many sites available to teach students to code, but these are some of our favorites:
- Students visit one of several sites (listed below) and follow tutorials for learning how to code.
- These sites are designed for students of all ages; teachers should preview them first to decide which activities are best suited for their class.
- Please take pictures of your students coding and send them to me for the website. Also if you use Twitter, please tweet about it!
