GENEALOGY ORGANIZATION– Thursday, June 8th & 29th, 6PM
Lillian Wingate, Statesboro Library’s Genealogy and Local History Coordinator will demonstrate step by step how to organize a family research project. Basic supplies needed. ***Please bring a 3”ring binder, 5 tabbed dividers, clear sleeves that go into the binder, and assorted writing implements. Sign up in the Genealogy Department.

This week we’ll be learning the importance of networking, and how to sell yourself. Get the support you need with this free ongoing series, instructed by business woman, Monique Dennis.

AFRICAN AMERICAN GENEALOGY– Monday, June 19th, 2PM
Lillian Wingate, Genealogy and Local History Coordinator, will go over several Genealogy website and sources to aid in your African American family history. She will also give a brief history of African Americans in Bulloch County.

ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION: JUNETEENTH– Monday, June 19th, 4PM
Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. Join us in a round table discussion with black influential leaders of the Statesboro community as we discuss the history and future progression of black education and culture.
