Refuge Youth Weekly Update

October 15th, 2015

Month of Worship Continues!

We've had a great first few weeks of our Month of Worship! Special thanks to Megan and Patsy, our guest worship leaders this past Sunday evening. Don't miss this coming Sunday as we welcome two more guest worship leaders--and this week we'll be learning about worship through other creative mediums (like painting!). I am so enjoying these times to worship as a youth group family and am so excited to see how God uses this month for His glory!

A few quick updates:

-NO Guy's Bible Study Wednesday, October 21st; we'll be taking a one week break from Guy's Bible Study. We'll continue with Galatians 3 on Wed. October 28th.

-Please let me know if you are planning on attending the Sacramento King's game on November 15th. $19 per ticket is due by November 1st, the sooner we know if you are going the better can plan!

-In keeping with our theme for the month, we're inviting anyone interested in being a part of our youth worship team (vocals, instruments, etc.) to check it out this month. Because the youth team is off for the month this is a great opportunity to get plugged in without any pressure. We're asking that if you're interested that you'd come to youth group an hour early this Sunday (@ 5pm) every week this month. If you can't make it this week at 5, don't worry! We will work around and schedule conflicts and make it work!

Check out all the new announcements below!

Ascent//A Month of Worship

Every Sunday at Ignite in October

We are so excited to focus on worship during the month of October! Each week we will welcome a guest worship leader who will not only lead music, but also teach the group a different perspective on what worship is. We spent the summer learning about who God is, now we want to learn why and how we worship him. Not only will our guests be leading musically but we've also invited an artist who will do live worship painting during youth group one night to teach on other ways to creatively worship God. You're not gonna want to miss a week of this!
