Newsletter Week 4 Term 3

Meeanee School 17th August, 2022

MESSAGE FROM THE SWIVELLY CHAIR

Cross Country is just one week away (fingers crossed the weather is fine)! Our students are out almost daily getting in their running mileage. It's great to see most students giving it 100% effort to improve.

A group of students in Papakura (Year 7 and 8) are putting together a proposal for me to run a "Wheels Day" at school where students can bring along their skateboards, scooters, or skates. They are trying to get gold coin donations to help fundraise for their camp to Wellington. Hopefully you will receive a notice in the next couple of weeks.

Speaking of fundraisers, it looks like the Pie Orders have once again been amazing this year. Plenty sold, which should mean a good profit for the PTA to put towards projects in our school. Thanks to everyone for your efforts.

This week we have had Miss Brett and Ms Lomax start in our school. They are in for 5 weeks of teaching in Papakura and Pukeko. We hope they enjoy their time with us.

Be Kind, Stay Safe,

Damion
