A note from the principal...

On Tuesday, October 25 we are having a District Wide College and Career Awareness Day! We’re asking families to have your child(ren) wear a shirt to school that represents a college or career field (skilled trade). On this day, teachers will take time to engage students in discussions about colleges and careers. (photo of Mr. VanRemmen, Principal and Mr. Fant, Teacher, 2021.)

Thank you PTO members and parents for supplying drinks and snacks during our two weeks of conferences! Teachers and staff greatly appreciate your kindness and the support we receive from our Wilkshire families! THANK YOU for all you do for us!

Trick or Trash

Wilkshire students are working hard to help our environment through the National Wildlife Federation's "Trick or Trash" program. Our school is collecting all kinds of candy wrappers to be recycled. Our goal is to fill this box to the very top with candy wrappers! We will be collecting wrappers until Friday November 4th. Please send them to school with your child in a ziploc bag. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Barrett at barretna@haslett.k12.mi.us. Thank you!

Lost, Please Find

Check out our lost and found table. It's full of clothes, hats and water bottles! Please take a minute to stop into the school and take look! Please note, we donate all unclaimed items during our Winter Break, which begins at 4pm on Friday, December 16.

Wilkshire Fall Festival Dates

The Wilkshire Fall Festival dates are:

DK and Kindergarten classrooms - Thursday, October 27

First Grade classrooms - Friday, October 28

Teachers will communicate the time for each classroom. To minimize the number of people in the building during school hours, each classroom can have a limited number of volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the classroom teacher, and complete a background check (banner below) unless you have already completed one for this school year.

Please note, school policy does not permit costumes at any time.

Interested in Volunteering?

We love volunteers! All volunteers must complete the necessary paperwork. Once completed and approved, you're good to go for the entire school year! Click on the banner above to register.
