And just like that, we are approaching mid-2nd quarter! November flies by, as our weeks are filled with Open House, 8th Grade Visit Day, the Fall Play, and of course - our Thanksgiving break!
Our 8th Grade Visit Day was a huge success! 8th Graders from all of our deanery schools as well as some from the public schools toured Marian Central, participated in departmental activities, enjoyed lunch, and even got a sneak-preview of our fall production, All Together Now! before it opened to the public this past weekend.
Speaking of our fall production…it was great! Our cast and crew did an amazing job, and we were privileged to honor the senior members of the production at the Sunday matinee as well… so heartwarming! A special thanks also went out to Mrs. Connell and Mr. Ossler who spearheaded the production. We are so thankful for the opportunity to bring Marian’s theater back to life after almost two years of being shut down.
Now that the winter season is upon us, there are so many more opportunities for our students to get involved! From ping-pong to our new E-Sports club, from winter sports to winter concerts, there is so much happening at Marian! We are thrilled that our students are beginning to return to that all-important balance between academics and school involvement that are so crucial to the development of a well-rounded individual. If your student is not already involved in something, it's a great time to check out new activities!
Though next week will be short due to Thanksgiving break, our special Thanksgiving Mass will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 24th. What a wonderful opportunity to give thanks to the Lord together as a school family before we celebrate with our own families later! Nov. 24th will also be a noon dismissal, so that all can get a head start on the festivities.
We cannot say it enough - but we are so very thankful for our Marian Community. Our faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, grandparents, and extended families - you are all in our hearts and prayers. May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
