Parties: The classroom parties will follow the parade and will be run by the room parents and party volunteers. The PTO has put together party activities for each grade level.
Costumes: Please help us ensure a fun and festive day by helping your child(ren) select and wear costumes that are appropriate for school. We ask that students not wear costumes that are gruesome, have weapons, or include full face masks which hinder visibility.
STEM Activities
Veterans Day Assembly
Our Veterans Day Remembrance Assembly will be held Friday, November 11 at 9:00 am in the gym. There will be coffee and donuts before the assembly starting at 8:30.
Veterans and active service members and their spouse or family member are invited to join us at Madison School for this special ceremony. If you plan to attend, please RSVP at this link so we can print a visitors badge for you. On November 11th, please enter through the main office doors near Clay and Sixth Street. You will need to bring your license with you.
As has become a recent tradition, we will feature a slideshow with photos of family and friends who are currently serving, as well as our veterans of all Madison families and staff! Please email any photos you would like to have included to Ms. Skibbie (eskibbie@d181.org) any time before Tuesday, 11/8, when the slideshow will be finalized.
At this time we are limiting our guests to veterans and active service members and their spouse or family member.
We are looking forward to this special day!

Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences are a very important opportunity for communication between home and school. We look forward to having the time to share information about the progress of your child(ren) in person this year. We encourage you to come into the building to meet with your child's teacher. If you are unable to attend in person, there is a virtual option available.
The District has set aside two days for conferences during Thanksgiving week. We appreciate you making yourself available during these times to meet with your child’s teacher. The conference dates are Monday, November 21st (2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) and Tuesday, November 22nd (8:00 a.m.– 2:00 p.m.)
You should have received an email from the District Office with directions on how to sign-up for your Parent Teacher Conference. If you have additional questions, please reach out to your child’s homeroom teacher.
