Amendment XXVIII

No person should be able to obtain a weapon without a license for the weapon, or without going through a series of tests to prove that they are able to obtain a weapon. If someone is carrying a weapon on them, they must have their license on them.

Explanation

This amendment would make the world more peaceful and safe. The amendment would be helpful for people who think they are in danger from someone who owns a weapon. It would also be useful for law enforcement, because they would test people and find out if they are able to have a weapon or not, so less dangerous people would have weapons, causing less deaths from weapons, which law enforcement has to deal with, so it would make their job much easier. People that have something wrong with them and own a weapon is unsafe because the person could use it in bad intentions at any time. This would prevent people that have something wrong with them from owning a dangerous weapon, making everyone around them sure that they are safe. Making weapon owners get a license for their weapons would help because if they got caught with a weapon and didn't have a license their weapon would be taken away right away, so law enforcement could find people owning a weapon illegally without a license easily, just by asking for their license. One con with this amendment is, it would make sort of a hassle for sane people, because although they are able to have a gun, they would have to go through the series of tests anyway. This amendment would only cost time, because test times would have to be set up and people have to take the time to go take the test.
