Message from Mrs. Bishop

Hi, Shepard Families!

We are headed into a busy time of year! Please check the calendar for all our upcoming events!

Our Winter Parties will be on December 15 and room parents will be reaching out with information. Parents are welcome to visit the parties, but visitors must have a badge issued through the Raptor system in the front office, so you will need your driver's license. If you are a volunteer for the party, you must have a background check approved through the Voly system at

If you plan to attend the party, please fill out this Google form, and we will have your badge printed ahead of time if you have already had your driver's license scanned this year.

Shepard Elementary Principal

This gives them all of winter break to make their project the very best! When you turn in the form your students' homeroom teacher will get a science fair handbook with all of the rules and requirements. Projects are due Jan. 9th by 3:00pm and judging will be on January 10th, 2023. We can't wait to see all of the amazing things our students can create. If you have any questions please reach out to

Join us at the Next PTA General Meeting Dec. 6th

The next general meeting will be Tuesday, December 6th at 5pm in the school cafeteria. We will vote to approve our updated versions of our PTA Bylaws and Standing Rules, available here, for you to look over now. They can only be viewed on the website and approved at the meeting by PTA Members. Shepard PTA must update or amend their Standing Rules and Bylaws with Texas PTA at least once every 3 years.

Bylaws govern an organization’s operations and contain the basic rules relating principally to itself as an association.

Standing rules contain details about the day-to-day operations of a PTA.

The Patriot Patio is open for lunch! Sign Up Here!

Many parents like to come to school and have lunch with their child. Luckily our school has a "Patriot Patio" in the hall outside our cafeteria where students and family members can enjoy lunch together. We have 4 tables per grade level available. We require parents to sign up prior to visiting their child for lunch so that we do not run out of space. All visitors to Shepard must bring a driver's license on their first visit of the school year and be issued a visitor badge. On subsequent visits, we can print badges with the same level of security without the need to scan your driver's license again, but please have it on hand in case there are any questions.

Printable November Lunch Menu

*Note menus will possibly need to be updated periodically to account for supply shortages. You can see any menu updates and manage your child's account at School Cafe. Download the current October and November lunch calendar below.
