MMs Week of May 8th

Editor's Letter

Dear Parents,

May is on a roll. Already we are running at full speed toward the end of the school year. We have finished STAR assessments and are looking forward to ending on a high note. This week we will work make cross curricular connections with the science of sound.

Our ELA focus this week we are continuing to find supporting details within a text. We will integrate Science with reading as we explore sound energy in greater depth.

Our scientists are working as engineers this week, as we explore sound energy. They will attempt to create a "Sound Sandwich," as well as other instruments as we look at vibration and pitch.

This week fractions have taken a twist as we look at the math in music. We will make connections to music notes and fraction values, studying whole, half, and quarter notes.

As always, we expect the best to receive the best.

Wishing you a enjoyable week,

Ms. Moore
