The language in Serbia is Serbian, which is the official language there. They also speak Hungarian, Bosnian, Romany, and other languages. Many also speak English. Some of the Serbian folkways would be shaking hands when you are meeting or greeting someone, if you are seated, you have to stand up for women and the elderly, when you are toasting you have to make eye contact with everyone, and when you go out to eat the food is paid for by host.

Digging Deeper into Culture:
Serbia has its own subcultures like how it is broke into 29 districts and/or provinces. Serbia also has different political parties which is the New Democrat Party and the League of Social Democrats. A cultural landscape of Serbia would be its food. Serbian diet consists of bread, meat, fruits, vegetables, and dairy products. The national dish in Serbia is called cevapcic, which is like a burger. Supper is traditional held around 8:00 p.m. Some of the cultural diffusion's would be the way people rely on their livestock to get money and so they have food. Another one would be that they trade with other countries, basically like the whole rest of the world does. Lastly, Serbia showed ways of religious architecture of churches and other holy places. Some of the cultural changes that Serbia has encountered would be their change from a communist system to a democracy so now they can vote for a president. They have also developed an upper, middle, and lower class.

The Dinaric Alps are a great place to visit when in Serbia and site see the area. You can also hike up and around the Alps and enjoy the nature, environment, and animals in the area. There is a great view of the Alps along the Adriatic Coast for 401 miles. The highest point along the Alps is 2,694 meters which is called the "Lake Crest." They are the fifth most rugged and mountainous are in Europe. It is named after a mountain in the middle of the range called Mount Dinara. The Dinaric Alps are also a great reason to travel to Serbia.
