Raising and Educating Kids During Uncertain Times

"Everyone wants to raise happy, well-adjusted kids, but they don’t always know how to get the job done. They don’t know when it’s time to worry, or when to leave it alone."

The Friends of Nantucket Public Schools is proud to present an evening presentation with Phyllis Fagell, licensed clinical professional counselor, certified professional school counselor, author and journalist.

We all have questions about raising and educating our children:

How can I manage social media? How will the pandemic affect my child's social emotional health? How can we help our kids deal with stress and anxiety?

Join us for an informative session with Phyllis and she addresses these and other important topics that parents, caregivers and educators wrestle with daily.

Phyllis has worked in both public and private schools with students in grades K-12. She currently works full time as the school counselor for Sheridan School in Washington, D.C. and provides therapy to children, teens and adults in private practice.

Phyllis is the author of “Middle School Matters” and a journalist. She’s a frequent contributor to the Washington Post, focusing on counseling, parenting and education, writes the Career Confidential weekly advice column for PDK, Intl. for educators, and “The Meaningful Middle” column for AMLE (Association of Middle Level Educators).
