Northern Beaches YLTW Update
OzGREEN's YOUthLEADing the World Congress Sept 2-4 2014
Hi Everyone!
While I was there for social work and aid, also had the opportunity to visit the world famous Eco-Friendly 'Bottle House' in the rural community of Pharping. It was built by the Pharping 'School for Community' who also run women's development programs, a refuge, and a 600 student school: http://www.pharping.org.np/asc.php?id=24
In this update, you'll find information on our next meeting time and a new dropbox folder with all our documents. As well as some snaps from the bottle house and an inspirational video of what youth are doing overseas to put the YLTW program in perspective.
Remember to RSVP and let me know if you can make it on Wednesday 4.30pm at Warringah Mall library. From there, we will plan regular meetings going forward, before the Congress in a month's time.
Thanks so much for your involvement - we've already had our first group of participant's sign up! Looking forward to it and it's good to be back
Cheers,
Vanessa

New dropbox folder with our files! Check your email inbox for an invite
Currently you'll find in the dropbox folder:
- Detailed Facilitator Notes of the Program
- Our Facilitator's Contact List
- Promotional Flyers in pdf for the 2014 Congress
- Materials Checklist (useful closer to the day)
and coming soon!
- The 3 Powerpoints that we use for each day of the Congress
Please accept the dropbox invite and have a look. You'll also find that you're able to edit the documents. In particular, please update your contact details in our contacts list.
For those of you unfamiliar with dropbox, it is essentially a shared folder and operates the same way as a folder on your computer. The only difference is that others can access this (and only this!) folder too. And keep in mind that I have copies of all the documents on there. So no worries if something goes wrong and you delete a file. It's all ok! Backups are in place.
