A Principal's Perspective

It is hard to believe that this was the last full week with our students! As we finish out the year, it is my hope that we look back on the year knowing that we have made an impact on the lives of each of our students with our passion, creativity, ideas, and lessons that we taught. Also as important is the relationships and connections that we have created with each student. Relationships that will shape a lifetime. As we celebrate the end of the year, I hope that we take the time to reflect on the difference that we have made in each life...each day... each hour at Greens Prairie Elementary.

Be Innovative - Design the possibilities!

Field Day is a great day of celebration and competition! As always, field day is a chance for all of our staff to be all in with the students! Teachers and staff will cheer on the students as they participate in field day. See below for schedule and staffing. Appropriate length shorts, tennis shoes (not beach flip flops), and shirts good to go on this day.

  • End of the Year Activities: Please remember that we still have four days of instruction and fun festivities. It is important to keep structure and consistency as much as possible to promote positive student behavior.

  • Moving Rooms?: We have several staff members that are moving rooms. Keeping the above in mind about end of the year activities, moving rooms will be a logistical Jenga game where moving parts affect another part. So, if you are moving and want to get in your new room ASAP, please remember that the other teacher may not be able to move their items according to your schedule. If students are in the room, boxing up and moving will need to be done at another time. To be respectful of the teacher that is currently in the room you are moving to, please box up your items and keep in your room, move to one side of the science lab after Monday, or wait until Friday which is a staff day. If the teacher happens to have space in your future room, work with that teacher.

If you are moving rooms and have already spent your $200 for your current

classroom and need some things for your new room, come see Donna to discuss

budget.

Mustang Yee Haws!

  • Congratulations to the following graduates of staff members!
