It Takes A Village

When my two boys were growing up, the Fall Festival at their school quickly became our favorite event of the school year. All of the games, bouncy houses, raffles, food, friends and fun under a fall sky created many magical memories for our family. From the buzz around campus, many of you have had similar experiences at the Fall Fests here at Wildwood.

In order for an event of this magnitude to come together, many volunteers are needed to lend a hand. We invite every Wildwood family to find a way to serve in some capacity by contributing to the event or working a shift at our Fall Fest. Even former students are invited to sign up to work the alumni booth or another volunteer position of their choosing.

  • To volunteer with set-up prior to the event or to take a shift during the event itself, please click HERE.
  • To volunteer to bring baked goods, please click HERE.

Many hands make light work, so thank you in advance for lending a hand and playing a part in the success of this special community event!

Warmly,

Mr. Lynch

A Device for Every Student

CVUSD is proud to have initiated a 1:1 electronic device program whereby every student has a classroom laptop set aside just for their individual use. At Wildwood, these devices are stored, charged, and used daily in each child's classroom.

We want every student to have access to their own device at home as well. We are fortunate to have enough additional laptops at our site to meet every device loan request that has been submitted this school year. If your student does not have a device to use at home or needs to share a device with a sibling, please submit a loan request HERE on the district website, and we will ensure that EVERY Wildwood student has equal access to technology both at home and at school.

Celebrating Wildwood: A 50's Day BBQ and Sock Hop

Our 50th Anniversary team is planning a 50's Sock Hop to be held during lunchtime on Friday, November 4 - our 50th day of school in our 50th year of operation. Students and staff are encouraged to come to school dressed in 50's attire for a day of fun and celebration. We already have a BBQ (hamburgers & cheeseburgers) lunch with ice cream secured for this special day. We are still looking for a few more volunteers to help us decorate our MPR and bring the fun with music and dancing during the student lunch recesses. Please contact Kristina Martinez kpadilla22@yahoo.com to join the planning committee.

School Cents!

For the month of October, we can earn 10X the points for School Cents. This is a great way to support Wildwood and to start your holiday shopping!! Save those receipts from The Oaks and submit at shopandlog.com/theoaks or drop it off in the School Cents collection box at the front office. Happy Shopping!

Simply submit the receipts at shopandlog.com/theoaks, turn in receipts at the front office in the School Cents box or send a screenshot to Jen Charoenrath at (909)374-1598.

Health and Safety

It is important that all positive cases of COVID-19 are reported to the health office. If your student tests positive for COVID-19, we need to know in order to ensure we are supporting your student through their recovery. The health and safety of our student body and staff is a top priority. If you have any questions or concerns related to COVID-19, please reach out to our office.
