Third Sunday of Advent, we light the Pink Candle which represents JOY
The joy we have in Christ can remain regardless of what challenges we are facing in life. That is because we know God is in control of our circumstances. He is “faithful,” as Paul says. Therefore, we can “rejoice always” and “in all circumstances give thanks” because we have hope in God

BEND THE RULES DAY ... Christmas Social Justice Project
All students are invited to Bend the Rules on Wednesday, December 14th!
Each rule bent will cost the student $1.00. Students may choose from the following:
Wear a Santa hat
Sunglasses
Chew gum
Wear pajamas
Wear slippers.
All money collected will be donated to Lurana House Sign of Hope.
Thank you for your support of our Elk Island Catholic Schools Division Social Justice Project to support Catholic Social Services’ Lurana House.
Please Note: All donations must be processed through your child’s account on PowerSchool.

Christmas Advent Concert ..PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR
The Advent Christmas Concert will be on Friday, December 16th @ OLPH Parish
Doors Open at 6:15 pm
The concert time 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm
Once you arrive at the Parish, keep your child's coat and boots and have your child sit go and sit with their class and teacher.
This concert will be available on the live stream.
Therefore any family members that are out of town can watch it live.
Also, there will be an opportunity for parents to go up and take a picture of their child, immediately after they finish singing their songs, before the next set.
We ask that students come dressed in their Sunday Best.
PLEASE NOTE CHURCH -Etiquette!
Please do not bring any food or drinks into the Sanctuary
Please take off your hat as you enter the Sanctuary.
Please sit in the pews only.
We will be taking a CASH offering for Lurana Shelter, which is a division of the Sign of Hope. This house houses families in need of shelter and support. Click to find out more information about Lurana Shelter
