Honoring Veterans This Week!
There IS school on Veterans Day this Friday and we already know there are a few special celebrations planned in some of our buildings. Stay tuned to DPS 109 on Facebook and follow along!
109 Gives Back Food Drive Underway!
Make sure to bring items the rest of the week to support the West Deerfield Township Food Pantry! Collection bins are located inside each school. The food pantry has kindly requested that they are NOT in need of any canned items.
Suggested items: paper towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, coffee, tea, applesauce, shampoo, conditioner, cereal, granola bars, oatmeal, and jellies/jams
What's Good in 109: A Very Special Ride To School, Halloween Engineers, and Rockstar Musicians!
We like to share What's Good in 109 in every newsletter, at every board meeting, and on social media as much as possible. Check out some of the latest good things below.
Two Kipling kindergarteners won a coloring contest from the Deerfield Bannockburn Fire Department and won a VERY special ride to school the other day. Check it out below!

November 15th is School Board Member Appreciation Day. As Mr. Simeck likes to say, "public education is a team sport" and we are certainly lucky to have this dedicated team working for the children of this community. Thank you, school board members!
