Parents Night Out
We are playing around with the idea of hosting a Parents’ Night Out evening on December 14th. This would serve as a fundraiser for Mashburn and as an opportunity to offer Mashburn parents a night out while their children are participating in holiday activities with Mashburn staff. Staff members would host back-to-back activity sessions similar to our after school camps. Sponsoring staff members will receive a portion of the fees collected. If you’re interested in hosting please contact Traci Wallace as soon as possible!

Winter Festival
Thank you so much for volunteering to make a difference in one of our Mashburn’s Family life at Christmas!
As far as decorations, we are having a decoration drive. If a child brings in decorations, you can store it in your grade level or place it in the boxes in the front lobby. In addition to our drive, each team will have $50 to assist in decorations. Please complete a Requisition Form for Purchase. It is found on the Shared Drive under Forms, attach the receipt to the form, and it into Carla for reimbursement.
The Trees will arrive to FCHS on Wednesday, December 5th. Your team can go to FCHS on Wednesday (12-5) or Thursday(12-6) after school to begin setting up and decorating the tree. There is a chance that your team may have to put the tree into the tree stands. Your team may want to bring sheers or saws to help with putting the trees in the stands.
Mashburn ES is has volunteered to help with the entrances (Main and East Entrances) from 6:00-8:00 on Thursday. If any member of your team would like to volunteer, please let Katie know.
Admission to the Festival is a toy for the Toy Drive. If your team wants to collect toys for the festival and involve your grades or classes, please feel free to do so. All donation will go to The Place in Forsyth County for families to have toys for Christmas. Please encourage your students and their families to come to the Heart of Forsyth Winter Festival on December 6th.
Colleen Neubert purchased Bear Paw ornaments for all of our trees, and Trudie Berry painted each one. The ornaments will hang on each of the our trees. The ornaments are located on the table in my room and are labeled with each team’s theme. Please come by and pick up your team’s ornament. Lori and Martha have found families to for our Trees.
I know this was a lot of information. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you again for all that you are doing to participate and making a difference in our Community!
