From the Principal...Kristy McKnight
In honor of Earth Day, we are working with Got Sneakers, a sneaker recycling organization. It's as easy as dropping off your old sneakers so they can be recycled, and the PTO gets a donation! Bins will be available in the front foyer to collect the shoes. See the flyer below for all the details!
It is already time to start thinking about our 2021-2022 school year! Information regarding Returning Student Online Registration is below. Registration will be open Monday and will be completed online.
At this time, parents are invited to provide information that will assist us in the class placement process. The letter found here contains specific information on how to provide that feedback. Please be sure to reach out if you have any questions. Letters are due back to Kristy McKnight by April 30th.
Staff Appreciation Week
We will be celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week the first full week of May, from May 3 through May 7. Throughout the week, we will be showing our gratitude for the hard work and dedication of all of our teachers, student services, teaching assistants, support staff, and administration. Education is a challenging profession during a normal year and our staff has risen above and beyond the challenges of this past crazy year. This week is our chance to say thank you to those that play such a huge role in our children’s lives.
Please consider making a contribution to help the PTO provide our Ferson staff with special treats for Staff Appreciation Week. You can make a monetary donation through PushCoin or sign up to donate gifts and snacks through the Sign-Up Genius.
Thank you for helping us support our amazing staff at Ferson Creek!
Attention 4th Graders!
The band program is back in action!
We are so excited to offer all wind instruments to incoming 5th-Grade students for the 2021-2022 school year. Students can choose from oboe, flute, clarinet, alto sax, french horn, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba or percussion.

Attention 5th Grade Parents
Remote Families - Bernie's Book Bank Pick Up
Bernie’s Book Bank has generously donated books for our students to read, enjoy, and keep. Each family will receive one bag of books for all of the children in the family to share. Remote family book bags are available for pick up in front of the building during the week. Bags are sorted into grade level boxes and are labeled with your family name. If you have multiple children at Ferson, your family's bag will be found with the grade level of your youngest child.
Please read these books over and over with your children at home. When your family has outgrown the books, pass them on for others to enjoy!
Have fun reading together!
Support Ferson Creek's Team Jimmy & Cal's Angels
There are many ways to get involved, even if you don't want to shave your head!
You can purchase a t-shirt, hair extension, or hat through PushCoin. All items will be delivered to school the week of the 19th and sent home with students. Remote families can pick up their ordered items on Wednesday, April 22nd after school from 2:00-4:00 pm. All funds received from the purchase of these items will go directly to Cal's Angels. As an FYI, the hair extensions connect using a barrette, so they can be easily attached and removed at your convenience.
To shave your head or donate your hair, sign up to be a part of Team Jimmy here. You can also use that link to make a donation directly to Cal's Angels. Details for the event on April 25th can be found here.
