Jaguar Journal Vol. 13
November 11, 2022
Hello Merrill Families,
WHOA! What a week! Merrill is truly a fantastic place with amazing engagement opportunities. We had a Denver Zoo visit, heard the Colorado Symphony with many dancers and a poet using an international focus of overcoming, All-City Choir field trip, visited the Colorado Avalanche and ran some drills, heard from many community experts: an author, a CFO of multiple companies, and a Bio-Chemical Engineer, Volleyball and Flag Football games, Multi-Language Learner PAC Night and pizza- and our Villain School Play Production.
Thank you to all who helped with donating winter jackets and coats. Speaking of, PLEASE ENSURE YOUR STUDENTS DRESS FOR THE WEATHER! It is cold, and we will still be outside. Our 8th graders will be attending Meow Wolf on Monday and Tuesday. We will take the school bus, the light rail, and a short walk back to Merrill.
We also wanted to share our November Newsletters-
Have a FABULOUS weekend.

DiMarzio is Raising Some Dough by Selling Butter Braids. Help the Band Out!
It is that time of year again, band is fundraising for new instruments and music, and all the other miscellany that make instrumental programs expensive to run. You may already have kids asking you to buy butter braids and coffee, and here is a link to my online store, if you'd rather pay online. Thanks for your support! We are taking orders until Nov 16th, and product will be delivered December 7th.
8th Grade Language Arts Field Trip Fundraising!!!!
Our 8th grade students will be reading To Kill A Mockingbird, and the touring Broadway production will be here performing To Kill A Mockingbird at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in February. Each ticket costs $40. Please log on to your MySchoolBucks account and select 8th grade Language Arts Field Trip, and if you can sponsor a student in need, we would appreciate it! We are writing grants as well to hopefully raise enough for all 8th graders to have this incredible experience. Here’s a video preview of the tour
We have been working so hard on to get ready for our performance. Please come see our final product and the production of Villain School, presented by Merrill Theatre.
