Shana Goldman, Teacher
Place of Birth: New Jersey
Years at Lincoln: 2.5
Favorite Educator: My favorite teacher was Mrs. Gray in first grade, she taught us to read which grew my love for books. I remember reading by my nightlight after bedtime wanting more time to immerse myself in books. That year I won the award for most books read and Mrs. Gray gave me a book she signed I have kept to this day. Will forever be grateful for her!
Fun Fact: Once upon a time, I used to be a psychotherapist. I ran both the nyc and la marathon and played first singles tennis in college. Now, my favorite hobby is sitting on the sidelines cheering on my boys.
Salvador Munoz, Teacher
Place of Birth: Los Angeles
Years at Lincoln: 7
Favorite Educator: Spanish is my native tongue but I took Spanish as an undergrad just to meet my foreign language requirement. I ended up receiving a double major (Music Education and Spanish) because one of my Spanish professors had a way of making his lectures come to life. I just kept taking more and more of his classes and without knowing it, I had the coursework completed for a double major.
Fun Fact: I like band but LOVE singing.

Congratulations to Mrs. Moe!
I’m sharing the good news that Mrs. Rose Moe was elected as part of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Master Teacher of Invention and Intellectual Property (MTIP) education program for her dedication to inspiring more young minds through invention-based learning.
The MTIP program is a two-year program that includes professional development, training and tools that support the shared mission of increasing access to invention and intellectual property education, especially among underrepresented communities, and inspiring more innovation across the nation.
The USPTO founded the MTIP program in 2023 as a “trainer the trainer” model to reach more K-12 students and educators with invention-based learning. Research data shows that invention education sparks students’ creativity and confidence, with positive results occurring in both formal and informal learning environments.
Through the MTIP, Mrs. Moe will provide professional development for fellow educators on how to integrate the fundamentals of IP, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets into the classroom. They will share their expertise with the goal of promoting a deeper understanding of the importance of IP and invention for K-12 students, helping students create, protect, and brand their inventions.
We are very lucky to have Mrs. Moe and we appreciate her continued passion to inspire our students.
