A Message from Mrs. Garrison
Dear Powell Families,
It is hard to believe we are ending the year this way! Thank you parents for picking up your materials last week. It was good to see so many of you and wish you well! We are looking forward to seeing some of our Powell Panthers during our Kindergarten and 4th grade car parades this week!
We are excited to announce our new principal for next year, Erin Mathe! Mrs. Mathe is coming to us from Bradley Elementary where she has been serving as their Assistant Principal. She has been a long-time friend and colleague and we know she will carry on the great legacy we have built at Powell. There is a video below with her introduction.
We are happy to be able to provide RAZ Kids, Lexia, and Dreambox programs throughout part of the summer. Please continue to use them to help your child maintain their skills!
THANK YOU TO BECKY HAREL
Becky Harel has been leading our Powell PTO for 2 years. Prior to that she served on various PTO committees. She has put in an enormous amount of time and energy serving our school. Becky has helped lead fundraisers, school carnivals, staff appreciation treats, and planned activities to celebrate our students. We are sad to see her leaving Powell and will miss her greatly!
SUMMER MOVERS
If you will be moving between now and the start of the 20-21 school year, please contact our Registrar, Michelle Lutes, at mlutes@conroeisd.net. We want to ensure your child has a smooth transition to their next school.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Please register now if you have a child that will be entering kindergarten next fall. Early registration helps us determine the number of teachers we will need.
