Thank you to our Wildcats that joined us for Popsicles with a Principal! Here are a few photos to show you some of the back to school energy.

Transportation Reminder

During the first few days of school it is common for the buses to be running slightly behind schedule. Younger students are just learning the process, there may be last minute route adjustments, and arrival/dismissal at each school may take longer the first few days as everyone gets back into the routine. Please be patient and give our students and drivers a bit of extra grace as we work through any minor delays. To track your child’s bus, download the Versatrans My Stop app, select Woodland District 50, and create a profile using Family ID#.

REMINDER: Superintendent Search Stakeholder Survey

As a reminder, the Woodland D50 Board of Education is currently seeking feedback from the community to help with the search for a new Superintendent. Please take the Stakeholder Feedback Survey (English / Spanish) by Aug. 22, 2021.

Board of Education Meeting, Aug. 26

The Woodland D50 Board of Education will meet on Aug. 26, 2021. The Board will be meeting in-person at the Educational Support Center (ESC). As always, the meeting will be streamed live on the district website to make it available to all, and the video will be posted to the website the following day. We will send the agenda and instructions for participating in Citizen Statements out early next week once the agenda is available.

Woodland COVID-19 Dashboard Updated Daily

Woodland created a COVID-19 Dashboard to help stakeholders understand the impact of the virus specific to Woodland. Please check the dashboard daily to see case counts for students and staff. This is a live document and the data will be updated throughout the day as new cases are confirmed.

The COVID-19 dashboard provides a big picture view of COVID-19 cases in our Woodland learning community. More specific information will be shared at the school or classroom level if your child was potentially impacted by a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19.

Student Self-Certification: ACTION NEEDED

Last year, we required all students to carry a self-certification card and parents/guardians were required to sign the card daily to certify that your student was symptom-free. This year we are streamlining the process and we are requiring all students to have a Safe Learning Environment Agreement Form completed in Skyward. This is a ONE-TIME agreement that parents/guardians will sign to acknowledge that they agree not to send their child to school when they have any of the COVID-19 symptoms. Login to Skyward Family Access and complete the form before the first day of school.

Medication Drop Off and School Immunizations

If your child has medical needs or a Health Care Plan, please work with the health office at your school to make sure they have the required documentation and medication to support your child this school year (Health Office Letter English and Spanish). Please also provide documentation of required physical examinations and immunizations for your child's age/grade level. To learn more and find contact information, please visit the Health Office website.
