Tune in to Reading Assembly
We concluded March is Reading Month with an assembly by Guy Louis' Worlds of Music, titled Tune in to Reading.
The show inspired the imagination of our young readers by using music as a bridge to encourage the growth of reading skills in students at each grade level. Popular student reading books such as "Pete the Cat" and "Abiyoyo" were used. www.guylouis.com
Tune in to Reading assembly was funded by the Keller PTA and the Michigan Humanities Council and the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs.

Election Day 3/8
Keller will be used as a precinct voting for the presidential primary election scheduled for March 8th, while school is in session. I have worked closely with the city clerk to determine the location in the building they will be using. We have identified the music room as the best place as it has a direct access door within the classroom as well as close parking lot access. I will also have staff and parent volunteers that will sit outside the music room as friendly faces for our students and as reminders that the doors are not to be entered by students.
