Principal's Memo
January 16-19, 2024
A Message from Dr. Harris
Henderson Family!
What a way to end the first full week of school. I hope everyone was safe on Tuesday and will be in good care today, Friday, January 12th during and after the storm.
This is a reminder that we will be closed on Monday, January 15th, in recognition of MLK Day.
Dress Code (Click HERE for Dress Code)
Effective immediately, students found to be out of dress code will be directed to In-School Suspension (ISS) until they receive appropriate clothing. This measure is taken to uphold the standards of our school community and ensure a consistent and respectful atmosphere for all.
Our dress code is straightforward:
- Wear tights (not patches) under all holes in clothing, extending down to your fingertips.
- Wear an undershirt under crop tops.
- Avoid slides or bedroom shoes.
- Refrain from wearing bonnets or fully covered hair unless it's a documented religious covering.
We appreciate your cooperation in reinforcing these guidelines with your child. By working together, we can maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for everyone. Students violating the dress code will be given a step as a reminder of our shared commitment to a respectful and focused educational experience.
Warm regards,
Dr. Suzan Harris
