STUDENTS ARE FULLING RETURNING TO LEMS
Just a reminder that all students (excluding TCO) will be returning to LEMS five days a week beginning March 22, 2021. Please see the schedule below. Unless traveling by school bus, students should not arrive on school grounds prior to 8:50 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and no earlier than 9:50 on Wednesdays. We are excited to see you all back together!
Masks
All students and staff are required to wear masks in the building. Students will be provided times to remove their masks when they are outside and socially distanced greater than or equal to 6ft.
QUARTER 4 SCHEDULE
Please click on the link below to access the bell schedule for Quarter 4. The schedule did not change for Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We did update our Wednesday schedule to reflect students in the building.
SAFETY PROTOCOLS
Now more than ever with over 800 students and staff in the building, it will be important for all to follow COVID safety protocols. Please speak with your student about the importance of wearing his or her mask over their nose and mouth, frequent handwashing, social spacing, as well as following direction arrows on the ground. Please help us keep everyone healthy!
CLEANING PROTOCOLS
The number one priority is the health and safety of students and staff. We are taking extra precautionary measures to ensure the cleanliness of our building. Students will spray and wipe down their learning spaces before transitioning to their next class. All restrooms are being deep cleaned two times during the school day and then again at night. Students will wash their hands or use hand sanitizer multiple times during the school day. Sharing of school equipment will be limited and cleaned between students.
HANDWASHING
All students will be required to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer as they enter and exit the building, before and after lunch, as well as when it is necessary for hygiene purposes (blowing nose, touching face, using the restroom etc.)
Check out this video with your student on proper hand washing!
LUNCH
Students will be eating their lunch outside in designated areas. Students will eat their lunch with their assigned group of students. We highly encourage all students to bring a warm coat as the weather starts to change. Unless there is precipitation, snow, or extremely cold temperatures, we will continue to eat outside. Students may want to bring a towel to sit on as many groups will be assigned areas to eat in our grass fields. Should there be inclement weather, students will eat inside the building in a designated area physically spaced to the greatest extent possible. Please understand that when students eat inside, they are assigned seats based on the classroom seating chart. This is a measure we have to follow from the Larimer County Health Department.
STUDENT BELONGINGS
Students this year will not be issued a locker to keep their belongings in. All students will keep their belongings with them during the school day. Student belongings will be kept in the student backpack which will be hung on the back of the student seat. It is essential that students do not share personal school supplies this year.
Water and Water Bottle Stations
As can be seen in the picture, all water fountains have been turned off and covered for use by students and staff. We are encouraging however, students to bring refillable water bottles to school that can be filled at the Water Bottle Stations. Please make sure your student's water bottle is filled before coming to school each day.
