RIS PTA First Aid Kits
drills. The teachers are also surveyed in order to find out if there
are needs and supplies to ensure the safety of ALL of our students.
Safety is our first priority so we need the help of the RIS community
and surrounding area with Emergency Backpacks/First Aid Backpacks. Our
goal is to have “much needed” First Aid supplies in place for
emergency situations such as severe weather, lockdowns, fire and/or
any hazardous disasters.
By partnering with us, your contribution towards our Emergency/First
Aid Backpacks will help teachers immeasurably during any unsuspecting
emergency situation. These Emergency/First Aid Backpacks will reduce
the anxiety of unpreparedness and provide quick access to First Aid
supplies during any given emergency situations that should arise at
Riverton Intermediate School. According to our most recent Emergency
Staff Skills Survey & Inventory, many of our teachers indicated a need
for the following items in order for them to feel more prepared should
a disaster strike while at school:
Flashlights
Ibuprofen
Paper towels
Hand sanitizer
Clorox Wipes
Batteries
Band aids
Gloves
Gauze roll
Medical tape (waterproof)
Triple antibiotic ointment

Alcohol/alcohol wipes
Tweezers
Vaseline

PROCEDURE TO ENTER THE SCHOOL

Car Rider Guidelines
1. Hang the number(s) on the rear view mirror, or hold it upright for the carline controller to see. (If it is lying flat on the dashboard, behind a decal, or _behind the upper shaded windshield, it is not visible.)
2. Refrain from using cell phone in car line.
3. If picking up more than one child, display all numbers at the same time, in a horizontal fashion. NOT one at a time.
4. If you do not have your car line number, park and go to the front office to check out your child.
5. Show only one number needed per child. The extra number should be removed, and used for others who may pick up your child.
6. Remember that we are a no tobacco campus. Please do not smoke in the car rider line.
