Buddhist Art
This Week Unit 7...Next Week Unit 4, 5, 6, 7 Test
Art Beyond the European Tradition - Buddhist Art from India and China
Buddhism dates back to the 6th century BC and was founded by a prince, Siddhartha Gautama, who was later given the name of Buddha. Every man has within himself the potential of becoming a Buddha if he so wills it and works at it. Nevertheless, the Buddha was such a perfect human that he came to be regarded in popular religion as super-human.

...and after all of that A SHORT FILM
The Record Breaker
(should I quote this?)
Here's what others had to to say about this film:
'A swimmingly edited, life-affirming film. Genuinely touching.'
— Robert Silva, IndieWire
'Hands-down the funniest documentary of the year.'
— Marianna Torgovnick, TED
'An ode to human obsession, dedication and monumental silliness.'
— Lena Dystant, Selectism
'A complex appraisal of a fascinating individual...McGinn's film excels because it does more than just focus on Furman’s unconventional hobby. As emotionally complex as it is gloriously ludicrous.'
— Ivan Kander, Short Of The Week
