Black History Month Door Decorating Contest!
We would like to thank Hixson students and staff or their participation in Hixson's Black History Month door decorating contest! It has been really amazing to see all of the designs blossom into meaningful celebrations of Black history. Please see the pictures of the doors that won our Black History Month door decorating contest! Mrs. Creath's Statesman Time (door 1) is the winner for virtual, and Ms. Kraushaar's Statesman Time (door 2) is the winner for in-person. They did an awesome job!
Parent Teacher Conferences
Hixson’s Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences are March 16 and 17 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm via Zoom meetings. There is not as much time allotted for spring conferences as there is for fall conferences. Therefore, if you recently had a meeting with your child's teachers and/or do not have any concerns you need to discuss with your child’s teachers, we ask that you refrain from signing up for a conference at this time.

Meet & Eat - Statesmen Do Lunch!
The Hixson counselors would like to invite our virtual students to “Meet and Eat: Statesmen Do Lunch!” Meet and Eat will be a weekly lunch that is held for our virtual students via Zoom. Our purpose is to help students with support and also give them time to socialize and play games with peers that are also virtual. The meetings will be held during all lunches on every Wednesday of the month and will begin next Wednesday on February 10th. Feel free to join with snacks or a meal for lunchtime.
Please also indicate your interest in participating by submitting this form to us. Parents, if you are filling out this form for your child, please respond to the questions as if you were your child. We will send the Zoom link to all students who sign up, so please sign up ASAP!
Attention 8th grade Parents!
As part of our 8th Grade Celebration, we will be showing a presentation with pictures of every student. We are asking parents for help by submitting 2 pictures of your child - one from their Kindergarten year and one from their 8th grade year. These do not have to be school pictures.
Please email your pictures to email@example.com by April 16th. To help with organizing all of these pictures, please:
Make sure your pictures are .png or .jpg files.
Name these files as:
LastName.FirstName-1 (Kindergarten), LastName.FirstName-2 (8th grade)
SIS and Canvas
Below is a link to the technology support ticket system we are utilizing to provide our learners and families with the most efficient system for submitting technology support requests. Use this site to submit your request when you are having issues with your student's equipment/access/accounts/etc.
