Bat Conservation

Dedicated to protecting bats, wildlife and their ecosystems.

Events the organization sponsors

One of the events that the organization leads is the Great Lakes Bat Festival. It is in Southfield, Michigan, for one day from 10 am to 8 pm. During the day you can build bat houses, explore several exhibits, and listen to several guest speakers. Some of the guest speakers include Gerry Carter and Dr. Jennifer Vonk, who talk about Bat Behaviors.

The Bat Zone and Vampire Bats

At the Cranbrook institute, one of the main places for the organization, there is a place called the bat zone. In the bat zone you can explore an area that has over 150 different bat species. One of those bat species is the vampire bat, which has aided in the creating of human heart medicine.
