6th Celebration: The next one is on May 13.
Trash-Pick-Up: 5/10 Hall & Larin; 5/11 Hobbs & Missio; 5/13 is KAM & Ounkeo.
Math Skills & Assessment for incoming 6th graders: Reminder 6th grade teachers! At 4pm on 5/10 & 5/17 we have this assessment. You guys signed up for days earlier in the year. Thank you!
Elections: Are held on 5/23 in the Gym. This is an all advisory/no enrichment afternoon. 6th/7th head to the Gym, 8th needs to work on College Fair in advisories.
- Report Cards: Teachers, please have your report card edits on the google doc by weeks end.

Save the Date: Spring Open House! May 11th 6-7pm. The same night the 2016 Bi-Annual Art Exhibition for the Art I, Art II, and AP Studio Art High School classes will be displaying their work from this semester. There will be a reception from 5-7pm in the front office to kick off the celebration of art. The NP3 High Art Club will also have a booth for face painting and temporary tattoos to raise funds for 2016-2017 mural. This is an opportunity for everyone to view our resident artists and all the hard work they put in over the term.
Spirit Week: May 9-13. Monday-PJ/Stuffed Animal day; Tuesday-Twin Day; Wednesday-Sports Day; Thursday-Dress Up as Your Teacher; Friday-Neon Day (followed by the last dance).
Q4 Dance: May 13th from 3:30-5:30. Please pick up your kiddo at 5:30.
Bike Breakfast: On May 13th & May 20th Breakfast will be available from 7:40-7:55 for kids who ride their bikes to school. Yah for Bike Month!
Bike Doc Station: NP3 will be hosting a Bike Doc Station on May 19th from 1-4pm. If your bike is in need of parts or to be fixed please stop by!
Stay Cool as You Ride: If you ride your bike to school on May 20th, stop by after school by the gym to get ice cream on your way out!
Student Government Elections: Will be held on 5/20 during advisory/enrichment. Winners will be announced on 5/23.
Booster Meeting: The next one is 5/9! There are always snacks! 6:30 pm in the NP3 Library. This is the last one for the year.
Booster Announcement: Boosters are running a Brick Fundraiser. If you are interested in purchasing a brick (or more) to support Boosters and NP3 , we hope to have enough bricks to make a pathway bridging middle and high school. Below is the link to our website and bricks are $50.00 apiece. The bricks can be customized with or without the NP3 logo, three lines, 10 characters each line. Please make checks out to NP3 Boosters. Credit cards are accepted as well, as it is a secured site. Project Guardian: April’s Project Guardian focused on Kindness to Others. The Guardian of the Month and all of the student nominees exhibited kindness to others in a variety of ways and we thank them for being at Kind and at Level D, even when they thought no one was watching. The student of the month guardian for April is Kristen Chung from Mrs. Missio’s advisory. We are so proud of her! Nominations for May are due to Ms. Silas on 5/23.
8th Grade College Fair: We are asking for volunteer parents to judge our 8th grade college fair. We will need you only on the day of the event Friday, May 27, 2016 from 1 to 3 pm. Please email Ms. Clark if you are interested or have any questions at clark@natomas.k12.ca.us.
2017 DC Trip: After Open House on May 11, we will be having a meeting to discuss fundraising for the current seventh graders’ 2017 east coast trip. Meeting will be at 7:00pm in Ms. Silas’ room.
Honor Roll: Remember to get all of your reassessments done by the end of this week! Honor Roll is for students who have all 3s and 4s.
Library Announcements: Last day to check out library books is May 16th. All library books must be turned in to Mrs. Kidd by May 20th.
Yearbook Announcements: To reserve your paperback copy of the yearbook, orders are due ASAP! $25 cash or check. Copies are limited!
8th Grade Promotion: 8th Grade Promotion Friday June 3rd: Promotion will start at 9:00 am. Parents you may take your child with you after the ceremony. A number of students have asked about dress code for the event. Dress Code for promotion: Girls: Semi Formal attire-Dresses, blouses, skirts, and dress pants are all appropriate (Shoulders/Backs/Midriffs MUST BE COVERED, NO T-SHIRTS, JEANS, OR SHORTS), Boys: Semi Formal attire-Khakis, Slacks, button up dress shirts, ties are optional (NO T-SHIRTS, JEANS, OR SHORTS) ***For clarification or in case you are in need of the above options please see Ms. Silas or Ms. Edwards.
