The bank closures dramatically increased, going from 496 bank closures to 4010 closures
The drastic increase in bank closure started with the Stock Market Crash in 1929

Emergency Bank Act of 1933
1933 Franklin D. Roosevelt called for 3 day bank holiday, this saved hundreds of banks
- 1934 - Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) established
