Next year’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) budget includes an expansion of our school including additional classrooms, expanding the cafeteria, and outdoor space/playground improvements. This project, approved in 2019, addresses our current overcrowding, but it is not intended to be a long-term solution and further study is recommended. To assist with that study the division has hired a consultant to analyze our potential growth and develop long range options for our school and this meeting is for us to give input.
Agenda:
6:00 - Meeting with the consultant to discuss future growth
6:45 - Meeting with the Mountain View Administrative Team about planning underway for 21-22-- including virtual school options, crosswalk construction, and plans for our fifth graders to again attend Walton based. Q&A will follow.

Updates for Friday, May 14
Jump Rope For Heart prizes from 2020 are now available, especially for virtual/ 5th grade students! Drive through the Mountain View parking lot on Friday between 1-4 to pick up prizes earned last year and say hello to the PE teachers! You can call the front office if you don’t remember if your child earned a prize last year. Lastly, prizes will be delivered to students in the building next week.
Family Life for 4th & 5th Grades - WILL be on Zoom at 9:00am or 11:00am this Friday. Details were emailed/texted directly to families and will also be posted by classroom teachers in Seesaw.
No more library zooms - Ms. Roberts is now needed as a virtual teacher, so there will not be any more library zooms for the rest of this school year.
Spanish Math Club will NOT meet this Friday. Next week will be the final club zoom for the year.

Please use these forms to provide us with additional background information you believe would be helpful in making your child’s classroom placement for next year. Your perspective/input is important to us and this information will be taken into consideration to the extent possible. Please keep in mind that we do not accept requests for specific teachers and ask that you simply describe the type of learning environment that would be most beneficial for your child. Our ultimate priority is to create well-balanced classrooms for the benefit of creating an optimal environment for the teaching and learning of all children.

Reminder: Water Bottles Needed
Thank you, families, for your amazing donations of snacks for students in need. Now we could use refillable water bottles for students. Drop them in the front office during the school week.
