New Albany High School
Bi-Weekly Update - April 3, 2022
Students and Parents,
We hope that everyone had a chance to rest and rejuvenate during Spring Break! As we move into the final 9 weeks of the school year, we would like to remind our students of important daily expectations to ensure a great learning experience for everyone.
Daily Attendance
Our success depends heavily on how efficient we operate on a daily basis. We track daily and period by period attendance in accordance with Ohio House Bill 410.
The school day begins at 7:50am
If you arrive at school after 7:50am, please sign in with Mrs. Bowman in the Welcome Center.
If you arrive late or leave early for any reason you MUST go to the Welcome Center, unless you have an approved opt out in your schedule.
TWO or more tardies to school in a week will result in an after school detention. Notification of a detention will be sent through school email. Repeat offenders could receive Saturday School.
Hallway & Classroom Attendance Expectations
Students are expected to move quickly and quietly to each of their classes.
Students are expected to arrive on time to class.
Students are expected to attend all assigned classes, study centers, and NEST.
Students are expected to move in an orderly fashion while passing in the hallways.
Right side of the hallway/entries/stairwells.
Students are expected to remain in their classroom for the first 10 minutes and last 10 minutes of each class (no passes).
QR Codes used for all hall passes are posted on classroom doors..
Lanyards & ID Badges
Students are required to wear their E+R=O lanyards and ID Badges daily for safety and security reasons.
There are no substitutes for the E+R=O lanyards.
This is an expectation for the entire New Albany Campus.
Badges and Lanyards should be on when you arrive to campus and remain on for the duration of the day.
In the cafeteria, students without their ID will be sent to the back of the line.
Forgot your badge? - Report to the E Office after 10 minutes of 1st period for sticker to wear.
Three stickers per quarter are permitted. The fourth request will receive an after-school detention
Need a new badge? Complete the Badge Request Form
Restroom Expectations
Students are expected to maintain appropriate behavior in restrooms at all times.
There is no loitering in the restroom.
Electronic devices such as cell phones or iPads should not be used.
Behaviors such as turning off the lights, kicking the stall doors, or standing on the toilets will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.
Cafeteria Expectations
There are no assigned seats in the cafeteria, Jefferson Room, or outside tables.
Maintain restaurant type behavior.
Respect Others
Student ID’s are required to be worn at all times
Clean up your space when finished
